My Story
Tekarontakeh Paul Delaronde is a Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) from the Wolf Clan, widely recognized as a pivotal culture and language holder, activist, and community organizer dedicated to Kanien’kehá:ka sovereignty and cultural preservation.
Background and Expertise

Cultural and Linguistic Foundation: Raised in Quebec, he grew up speaking the aboriginal language at home, instructed by his traditionalist grandparents from Kahnawà:ke. This upbringing provided him with a profound and authoritative understanding of Kanien’kehá:ka traditional ways of life, thought, and language. He is respected as a knowledge keeper regarding the traditional teachings of his people, including the Great Law of Peace (Kaianerehkó:wa).

Sovereignty Advocacy and Activism: Delaronde is an influential figure and leader within the Rotihsken'rakéhte' (Mohawk Warrior Society). He is credited with rekindling and organizing the Warrior Society and has been involved in major struggles and movements focused on reclaiming Native lands and asserting self-determination since the early 1970s.
